Curiously refreshing packaging for Dr Jekyll’s
The Dr. Jekyll's team approached Sip Studio with a challenge - create branding and packaging design for their new 1.2% ABV beer so that they could test it in the market and get distributors’ buy-in. The brand had previously existed in the US, but it needed a bold, contemporary, and graphic refresh to successfully enter a new market.
We knew that creating a distinctive brand was essential to stand out in the competitive craft beer market. To achieve this, we took inspiration from the brand’s mission to create innovative and experimental beverages, as well as the Dr. Jekyll name.
We created a new logo, a memorable Dr. Jekyll character and tied it into the experimental brand story through a background of pipes, laboratory flasks, and beer brewing equipment. Inspired by old movie posters and rock band artwork, we developed a visual identity that aligned perfectly with the Dr. Jekyll’s brand.
The brand has been rapidly gaining traction and new listings, with great feedback from distributors and range extensions in the pipeline.
